Join Antonio Galloni (Vinous) to for a discussion on the unexplored side of Napa Valley. Despite its reputation for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world growing more than 40 different grape varieties. The region is the product a complex geologic history giving it one half of the world's soil orders and 33 unique soil series. The region also has diverse climate zones depending on a vineyard's proximity to water, altitude and aspect to the sun. All of this diversity contributes its ability to grow so many different grapes in a relatively small area of less than 47,000 acres (20,000 hectares).
