Jeb Dunnuck

Wine Critic and Founder of JebDunnuck.com

An aerospace engineer by training, Jeb Dunnuck grew up on a farm in rural Indiana where 2% milk was the beverage of choice and wine was hard to come by. It wasn’t until 1996, when living abroad and traveling through Europe, that he became interested in fine wine.

Moving to upstate New York in 1999 to work for Lockheed Martin, and later to Colorado in 2001 to work for Ball Aerospace, he traveled extensively throughout the wine regions of Europe and the United States, where he quickly developed a passion for the wines of the Rhône Valley and the Rhône Ranger Movement in California and Washington. To gain a better understanding of the business side of the wine industry, he took a temporary wine retail position in 2006.

Jeb launched the “The Rhône Report” publication and website in 2008 and began releasing a quarterly newsletter reviewing Rhône variety wines from around the world. Completely independent and including coverage on wines from France, Spain, Australia, and both California and Washington in the United States, the publication continued to gain in popularity and subscribers, and by 2013, was read in over 24 countries and seen as one of the leading authorities on Rhône variety wines.

In 2013, after being approached by Robert Parker to join The Wine Advocate team, Jeb gave up his engineering career and wrote full-time for the Wine Advocate. Described as a younger version of himself by Robert M. Parker Jr., Dunnuck was the leading reviewer for California, Washington, and Southern France from 2013 to 2017, publishing more reviews than any other professional reviewer.

In 2017, Jeb decided to leave the Wine Advocate and go back to his roots as an independent wine critic, launching his own publication JebDunnuck.com. Through the platform, Dunnuck offers comprehensive, consumer-focused coverage of the most interesting wines from California, Washington, Southern France, and Bordeaux, while seeking out discoveries from around the world.

Dunnuck’s goal with JebDunnuck.com is to provide insight and up-to-date information that can’t be found anywhere else. “Too often today, the ‘story’ behind a wine is put before the quality of a wine,” Dunnuck said. “I want to help consumers cut through the marketing and the spin and zero in on what’s in the glass. I plan to deliver the information consumers really need to know when trying to decide what to buy and what to drink.”

He resides in Colorado, with his wife Traci and dog Ella, where he pretends to rock climb and race a bicycle.

Thomas Rivers Brown

Winemaker, Outpost Wines, Caterwaul, THE GRADE Cellars, Panek Vineyards

Thomas Rivers Brown, winemaker for some of Napa and Sonoma’s most iconic labels (Schrader Cellars, Outpost and his own Rivers-Marie, Aston Estate & Dorsey), has more than sixty 100-point wines to his resume. He was named 2010’s Winemaker of the Year by Food & Wine magazine.

He has been in Napa since 1997, where he began his career at Turley Cellars and now makes wines for select premium labels. Over the last decade, Thomas has received more 100-point scores than any other Napa Valley winemaker. He was awarded two 100-point scores from Wine Spectator, the first American winemaker to receive a perfect score. Beyond generosity and roundness in tannins, his wines have few common traits and are very individual, reflecting each vineyard’s unique terroir.

Rosemary Cakebread

Winemaker, Gallica, Snowden Vineyards, Trois Noix

Rosemary Cakebread has earned a reputation for making wines of grace and balance with remarkable consistency across vintages. A graduate of University of California Davis’ Viticulture and Enology program, she was introduced to Cabernet Sauvignon at the historic Inglenook Vineyards. From early cellar jobs to a winemaking position with Spottswoode Vineyard and Winery, Rosemary has built her career around a love for wine.

Her appreciation and interest in aromatics and blending was born from work with sparkling wine at Mumm Napa Valley. Of course, making wine also means logging hours and miles in the vineyard throughout the growing season. Rosemary can often be found where she most enjoys being- outdoors in the home vineyard or amongst the vines on the properties we are fortunate to collaborate with.

Maayan Koschitzky

Winemaker, Gamble Estates, Simon Family Estate, Salvestrin and The Crane Assembly

Maayan Koschitzky is the Director of Winemaking at Atelier Melka, where he leads the production of some of Napa Valley’s most respected wines. Known for his technical expertise and meticulous, hands-on approach, Maayan’s work reflects a deep commitment to quality at every stage of the winemaking process.

Maayan’s journey began in Israel at the Golan Heights Winery, where he developed a strong foundation in winemaking and viticulture. Seeking to expand his knowledge, he trained at Bordeaux’s renowned Château Haut-Brion and Château Léoville Poyferré, learning heritage-inspired techniques that continue to inspire his craft.

After moving to Napa Valley, Maayan joined the team at Screaming Eagle, where he refined his approach to creating wines of exceptional precision and balance. Today, his expertise and collaborative spirit are integral to Gamble Estates, where he focuses on translating the distinctive character of each vineyard into wines that reflect both place and purpose.

Jennifer Williams

Winemaker, Coronet

One of the rising stars of Napa Valley winemaking, Jennifer Williams, was named Winemaker for Arrow&Branch in April 2011. Jennifer takes the reigns at Arrow&Branch. After years of working with and learning from legendary winemakers such as Rosemary Cakebread, Francoise Peschon and the Novak family, Jennifer now brings her outstanding talents and experience to Arrow&Branch.

In 2002, Williams joined Araujo and Spottswoode as a harvest intern, splitting her time between these two great winemaking estates. At Spottswoode, Jennifer was drawn to the philosophy of organic and sustainable farming, which Tony Soter had introduced in 1985. Following harvest, she joined their team full time, working under guru David Abreu in the fields and Rosemary Cakebread in the winery. In 2004, with a deeper understanding of the estate vineyard, she took over as Vineyard Manager and was Spottswoode's Winemaker from 2006 to 2011.
