The Varieties of Napa Valley: Winemakers Discuss Top Grapes
Join this session to you’ll learn typical styles of Napa Valley’s most widely planted varieties so that you know what to expect when you work with these wines in the market. This webinar is specifically designed for importers, agents and their sales teams.
Napa Valley is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, the product a complex geologic history giving it one half of the world's soil orders and 33 unique soil series. The region also has diverse climate zones depending on a vineyard's proximity to water, altitude and aspect to the sun. All of this diversity contributes to the fact that we grow more than 40 different varieties in our small region of less than 20,000 hectares. Even with the incredible soil and climatic diversity, Napa Valley is primarily known for five major varieties, all produced in a range of styles: Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet-based Red Wines, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.
This session is in support of the Hopwine Virtual Trade fair happening now where you can meet nearly two dozen wineries looking to expand their representation around the world. See link to the left.
